On March 26, 2026, the PBAT full industry chain project of Inner Mongolia Dongjing Zhongke New Material Technology Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony. The total investment of the project is about 10.7 billion yuan, which will help Wuhai City build a highland of biodegradable new materials industry and construct a characteristic industrial cluster of "full industry chain+leading".

Inner Mongolia Dongjing Zhongke New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Dongjing Green Energy New Materials Co., Ltd. It focuses on the research and industrialization of new materials, mainly engaged in bio based and synthetic materials, and focuses on the layout of PBAT biodegradable polyester and other environmentally friendly products.

Building a biodegradable industry chain

This project relies on the BDO industry foundation in Wuhai City to achieve nearby supply of core raw materials, create a closed-loop industrial chain of "coal BDO PBAT modified materials terminal products", and promote the coordinated development of upstream and downstream.

The BDO raw materials for the project are supplied by supporting enterprises within the park, and the park has complete infrastructure such as water supply, power supply, gas supply, and sewage treatment, providing strong support for the construction and operation of the project.

Building a full process industrial system

The project will be promoted in three phases: the first phase will construct a PBAT biodegradable polyester project with an annual output of 1.2 million tons, the second phase will construct a modified material project with an annual output of 3 million tons, and the third phase will construct a biodegradable product project with an annual output of 2 million tons.

The first phase of the project covers an area of approximately 335000 square meters, with 10 production lines and a total investment of approximately 5.812 billion yuan. The construction period is 2 years and adopts a one-step process, which has advantages such as high efficiency, energy conservation, and green environmental protection. After the completion of the project, it will fill the gap in high-end PBAT production capacity in the region, improve industrial supporting facilities, and enhance industrial added value.
