At 21:32 on April 7, 2026, the Long March 8 carrier rocket was launched from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. Using the "one rocket, eighteen satellites" mode, it successfully launched the seventh batch of networked satellites in the Qianfan Constellation into the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.

Qianfan Constellation is China's fully autonomous and controllable low orbit satellite Internet system, which mainly serves the construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the overseas development needs of Chinese enterprises, and provides high-speed, real-time, safe and stable integrated solutions and related services for space, space, space and sea.

The Long March 8 rocket used for this launch, together with the Long March 8A rocket, forms a sequence of 5-ton and 7-ton carrier capabilities for sun synchronous orbit, significantly enhancing China's ability to launch medium and low orbit satellite networks. In 2026, the Long March 8 rocket will enter the stage of high-density launch, continue to help the construction of China's low orbit satellite Internet constellation, and promote the high-quality development of commercial aerospace.

This mission is the first time that the meteorological system of Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site has independently completed meteorological support tasks. Through the practical testing of this launch, the comprehensive service guarantee capability of Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site has been further enhanced.Editor/Gong Ziwei
