On April 9, 2026, He Yang, Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration of China, met with Selwin Hart, Special Advisor to the United Nations Secretary General for Climate Action and Assistant Secretary General, in Beijing to exchange views on deepening cooperation.

He Yang stated that China will continue to strengthen its energy security capabilities by accelerating the construction of a green, low-carbon, safe, and efficient new energy system. China has advanced technology and rich solutions in the field of clean energy, and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with the United Nations to actively promote international cooperation in clean energy.

Hart stated that the current global energy crisis caused by the US Israel Iran conflict will further prompt countries to accelerate their low-carbon energy transition process. I hope to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China to jointly promote the global energy transformation.Editor/Yang Meiling
