In the process of clean energy transformation in Northeast China, an innovative "wind power+geothermal" integrated energy project has started construction. Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Jilin Province officially approved the supporting wind power project for the demonstration project of deep geothermal heating in Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, which means that Jilin has made important breakthroughs in the complementary development of wind, solar and thermal energy and the creation of a clean and low-carbon energy system.

Project Overview
The project is located in Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, Jilin Province, covering four towns of Dagushan, Xiwei, Yitong, and Yingchengzi. It is constructed by Huaneng Yitong Green Energy Development Co., Ltd. The planned installed capacity of the project is 190 megawatts, with the construction of 31 wind turbines and supporting facilities such as a 220 kV substation, transmission lines, and roads. The total investment is nearly 1 billion yuan, and the construction period is only 12 months, with significant efficiency.

This wind power project is specifically designed to support the construction of geothermal heating demonstration projects. During the heating season, the geothermal system is driven by green electricity to achieve zero carbon heating, and during non heating seasons, clean electricity is fully connected to the grid. The model of "wind assisted heating and thermal electric decoupling" not only enhances the on-site consumption capacity of wind power, but also makes geothermal heating more economical and environmentally friendly, providing a new path for clean power supply and heating integration in high-altitude areas.
Against the backdrop of upgrading the energy structure in northern heating areas, the project breaks the traditional electric thermal separation mode, relies on system integration and intelligent regulation, achieves collaborative optimization of multiple clean energy sources, effectively enhances the flexibility and low-carbon level of regional energy systems, and provides practical experience for cross disciplinary application of wind power.
