The 3 million tons/year PTA project of Jiujiang Petrochemical is a core component of the integrated aromatics industry chain project with a total investment of approximately 33.2 billion yuan. It was officially signed and implemented in July 2025. The project is located in the Jiujiang Petrochemical Industrial Park at 228 Binjiang East Road, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, adjacent to the existing refining facilities of the enterprise. It can fully rely on and share existing infrastructure such as docks, pipe galleries, and public works, effectively reducing investment costs in logistics and energy consumption. After the project is completed and put into use, it will work together with the annual production of 1.5 million tons of aromatic hydrocarbons and 3.76 million tons of PET to build a complete integrated refining and chemical industry chain, realizing a closed-loop process from crude oil processing to polyester material production. This has significant strategic significance for improving regional industrial layout and enhancing the overall competitiveness of enterprises.
