Recently, Rua Al Madinah, a heavyweight cultural and tourism development project in Medina, Saudi Arabia, has officially signed a contract. China Railway 18th Bureau (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation, has successfully won the bid for the core section of Super Block 5, with a contract amount of 8 billion Saudi riyals, equivalent to approximately 2.1 billion US dollars.

The Rua project is led by the Saudi Public Investment Fund and covers a total area of 1.5 square kilometers. It is planned to build 47000 hotel rooms by 2030 and achieve an annual reception of over 30 million pilgrims. China Railway 18th Bureau is responsible for the construction of Block 5, which will plan to build 10 international high-end hotels, including well-known brands such as JW Marriott, Fairmont, and Grand Hyatt, as well as high-end residential buildings, with a total construction area exceeding one million square meters.
