On the noon of April 13, 2026, Liu Wei, the founder, chairman, and president of CANGYU SPACE, met with H.E. Prof. Arif Satria, the director of BRIN, in Guangzhou, and the two sides reached a consensus on space cooperation.

Chairman Liu Wei said, "This is a memorable day! 76 years ago today, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Indonesia officially established diplomatic relations. I am delighted to welcome Your Excellency the Director General to visit China. In recent years, Indonesia's national aerospace industry has achieved remarkable development achievements. Indonesia has always adhered to the principle of practical needs and prioritized the application of aerospace technology in key areas such as disaster management, emergency response, and ocean monitoring, achieving positive results.
He stated that CANGYU SPACE is focusing on building a safe, stable, and reliable integrated data service network for air, space, and earth, providing real-time space-based measurement and control, high-speed data relay, and global information interconnection services to users worldwide. It can widely support various application scenarios such as low orbit satellites, launch vehicles, manned spaceflight, and long endurance unmanned aerial vehicles. He emphasized that the aerospace industry has the capability and willingness to assist Indonesia in enhancing its space data and application capabilities. Therefore, the company's senior management plans to visit relevant government departments and local leading aerospace companies in Indonesia in the near future to explore practical cooperation opportunities.
Director Arif stated that under the direct authorization of the Indonesian President, the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency is fully responsible for the planning and implementation of the national space strategy and the overall management of space activities, and is committed to building a comprehensive space ecosystem covering the entire industry chain. At present, we are focusing on researching the development path and implementation plan of the aerospace ecosystem. As of now, Indonesia has successfully launched multiple satellites into orbit and plans to launch a new generation of technology demonstration satellites by the end of this year. At the same time, Indonesia is conducting a feasibility assessment on the selection of Biak Island in Papua Province as a space launch site.

He pointed out that as a vast archipelago country with abundant natural resources, Indonesia has extensive and urgent practical needs for remote sensing data and related applications in many fields such as agricultural monitoring, mining area supervision, fishing vessel control, emergency response, etc. It urgently needs to build strong remote sensing technology support capabilities. However, there are still a few companies in Indonesia with strong satellite operation capabilities. He expressed a sincere welcome for CANGYU SPACE to conduct business exchanges and practical cooperation in Indonesia. The Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency is willing to act as a bridge for CANGYU SPACE and provide strong support.
Dr. Bindeka, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Ms. Lu Xi, Deputy Consul General, and Yao Weizhi, Vice President of CANGYU SPACE, attended the meeting event.
