In April 2026, Ceepower successfully signed a contract for the Uzbekistan Capital Domestic Waste Disposal Project, with a contract amount of 7.9319 million yuan, and will be responsible for supplying core electrical equipment such as low-voltage distribution cabinets.

The disposal center plans to consume 1500 tons of urban waste per day and is currently the leading solid waste resource utilization facility in Central Asia.

The project will adopt incineration power generation technology to convert the waste generated by residents' daily lives into electricity and integrate it into the power grid. This will not only alleviate the pressure of landfill in Tashkent and surrounding areas, but also provide a supplementary source of electricity for local industrial production and residential use. For the Ukrainian side, this move is a crucial step in promoting the upgrading of municipal environmental protection facilities. For the winning bidder, although the volume of this order is not huge, it has opened a door for it to leverage the Central Asian power supply market. With the acceleration of urbanization in countries along the route, the demand for solid waste disposal and energy recovery is shifting from sporadic pilot projects to large-scale implementation.Editor/Gao Xue
