Recently, a container loaded with modular display cabinets was shipped from Putian Station in Zhengzhou, crossing the Caspian Sea and the Caucasus Mountains, and finally unloaded steadily into the hands of the consignee at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Azerbaijan. The uniqueness of this shipment lies not in its value, but in the fact that it travels the last kilometer from inland China to the Caucasus hinterland. Zhongyu Logistics Group has completed door-to-door delivery in Azerbaijan for the first time, completing the logistics puzzle of the South Passage.

Upgrade from station to station to door-to-door
Since the opening of the South Passage, the transportation of goods has remained in a station to station mode for a long time, and the final delivery needs to be solved by the consignee themselves. This time, Zhongyu Logistics has extended its service chain from Baku Commercial Terminal to the airport terminal, achieving precise direct delivery from Zhengzhou's shipping end to Azerbaijan's receiving end. The goods leave the country through Khorgos Port, and then change ships after arriving at Aktau Port by railway. They cross the Caspian Sea and reach Baku Terminal. The overseas section is about 3119 kilometers long, and the terminal delivery link has been completely opened.

Four monthly trains stabilize the rhythm of the southern passage
The South Passage trains of Zhongyu Logistics have achieved stable operation of 4 trains per month, forming an expected shipping rhythm. After the completion of railway reloading in Baku, the goods can continue to arrive in Budapest, Hungary via Azerbaijan and Türkiye, with a total distance of about 6729 kilometers overseas. This route that enters Central and Eastern Europe through the Caspian Sea region is becoming the second stable cross-border logistics corridor for Chinese manufacturing exports.

Accelerate the weaving of the overseas collection and distribution system
The landing of the first door-to-door delivery confirmed the ability of Zhongyu Logistics to carry out refined and integrated delivery in the Caucasus region. In the next step, the overseas collection and distribution system will continue to be encrypted around the Baku node, and the regional door-to-door distribution network will extend to Georgia and Türkiye. As the hub functions at both ends of the channel become increasingly sophisticated, the end-to-end reach capability of the intermediate links is becoming a new benchmark for cross-border logistics competition.Editor/Gao Xue
