On April 23, 2026, the National Energy Administration released national electricity statistics for the months of January to March.

As of the end of March, China's cumulative installed power generation capacity was 3.96 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 15.5%. Among them, the installed capacity of solar power generation was 1.24 billion kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 31.3%; The installed capacity of wind power was 660 million kilowatts, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.

Since 2026, the development momentum of renewable energy in China has been good, and the supply capacity of green electricity has continued to increase. As of the end of February, the installed capacity of renewable energy generation in China reached 2.381 billion kilowatts, accounting for 60.3% of the total installed capacity of electricity in the country; The newly installed capacity is 44.97 million kilowatts, accounting for 68.4% of the total newly installed capacity; The power generation is 570.7 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for 34.5% of the total electricity consumption in society.
