On April 25, 2026, the 110 kV Qiji Substation in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province was officially put into operation. As a key project for the coordination of the main distribution network of the Zhejiang power grid, it can add 60000 kVA of power supply capacity to the Zhanmao area of Putuo, effectively resolving the power supply pressure of old substations and completing the upgrading of the regional power grid structure.
At present, the 15 supporting 10kV distribution network renovation projects are progressing in an orderly manner and are expected to be completed in mid May. Seven sets of ring network structures will be built to achieve mutual backup of lines and reasonable load distribution, greatly improving power supply stability.
The Zhanmao area is a core industrial cluster in Zhoushan, gathering more than 170 manufacturing, processing, and new material enterprises, with a strong demand for electricity. The substation has been put into operation, completely improving the short board of single power supply in local lines, achieving seamless power switching, and ensuring continuous and stable production of enterprises.
The project will simultaneously lay 7.5 kilometers of communication optical cables to support automated operation and maintenance of the power grid, which can quickly handle line failures. Next, the local government will accelerate the construction of multiple substation interconnection lines, continuously strengthen the interconnection capability of the eastern power grid in Zhoushan, and empower the high-quality development of the island economy.
