On May 13, 2026, the Ministry of Natural Resources announced the results of the resource reserve verification and exploration project of Yulong Copper Mine in Jiangda County, Xizang Autonomous Region. The newly proved copper resources in this mining area are 1.3142 million tons, molybdenum resources are 107700 tons, and silver resources are 793 tons.

As of now, the cumulative identified copper resources in the Yulong mining area have reached 7.534 million tons, molybdenum resources have reached 459000 tons, and silver resources have reached 3048 tons. This achievement marks a new step in the construction of large-scale copper polymetallic resource bases on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The Yulong Copper Mine is located in the northern section of the Yulong porphyry copper deposit belt in the Sanjiang metallogenic belt of eastern Tibet.
