Huawei Director and President of Huawei Digital Energy, Hou Jinlong, pointed out in his speech that the rapid development of the artificial intelligence industry and the large-scale implementation of large models and massive intelligent agents are bringing huge energy demand, and the global AIDC installation scale will continue to break through. The end of computing power is electricity, and energy is the foundation for the long-term development of artificial intelligence. Computing power and electricity will deeply collaborate and empower each other in both directions, gradually building an integrated collaborative system of new power systems and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
He emphasized that to promote high-quality and sustainable development of AIDC, power security is the key; To achieve long-term high reliability and stable operation, improving the friendliness of the power grid is the key; To adapt to the ultra-high density of computing power, it is crucial to promote the upgrading of power supply architecture towards high voltage, DC, and power electronics. In addition, liquid cooling has become a must-have for ultra-high computing power, and highly reliable liquid cooling solutions and intelligent operation and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle are key. AIDC is essentially a computing power production system, and delivery speed is closely related to business revenue and investment return.

Huawei's Vice President of Digital Energy, He Bo, delivered a keynote speech titled "Building Source Network Load Storage AIDC, Enabling Every Watt to Produce More Tokens". He stated that the global AI industry is thriving, with an exponential increase in token demand, and AIDC has fully entered the era of Token Factory. The high density and diversification of computing power pose significant challenges to the power density, scale, and load fluctuations of AIDC. At the same time, the large-scale integration of new energy into the grid exacerbates power grid fluctuations, coupled with frequent fluctuations in AI business loads, posing reliability challenges to AIDC.
Based on this, Huawei has released a heavyweight strategy for source grid load storage AIDC, focusing on the "3+1" reconstruction to create a highly reliable, energy-efficient, fast delivery, and grid friendly source grid load storage AIDC solution.
Watt Refactoring: Refactoring the entire power supply chain from the grid to the chip. The diversification of load determines the diversification of power supply architecture, and in the future, AC and DC will coexist for a long time. Huawei will build a MIMO power supply architecture with grid friendly UPS and grid based energy storage as the core, and gradually evolve to a fusion grid based energy router with SST technology as the core, flexibly adapting to the high-density power supply needs of AIDC.
Heat Refactoring: Building a full lifecycle safe and reliable thermal management system from chips to outdoor environments. The ultimate value of liquid cooling is not single point cooling, but building a full lifecycle thermal management system. Huawei innovatively creates an AI powered MW level liquid cooling system, achieving more efficient and reliable heat dissipation, leading the large-scale deployment of liquid cooling from usability to long-term reliability.
Bit reconstruction: AI empowers data centers to reconstruct the entire lifecycle operation chain. Digitization and intelligence throughout the entire lifecycle from design, delivery to operation, achieving full chain visibility, full chain reliability, and efficient operation and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle.

Construction mode reconstruction: productization of engineering, reconstruction of construction mode through prefabrication and modularization. Moving the entire process of design, production, testing, and verification to the factory, with only simple installation required on-site, significantly reducing delivery time, improving delivery quality, and achieving rapid replication of products.

Full chain power POD and full chain cooling IT POD debut
Zhu Zhaosheng, the head of Huawei's Computing Strategy and Business Development Department, stated that aggregating as much computing power as possible through hypernodes can effectively solve the challenge of token "seesaw" and achieve optimal throughput and latency for tokens. At the same time, the power of each cabinet in the supernode also undergoes significant changes. From the perspective of the data center, electricity needs to be supplied safely and smoothly, and heat needs to be dissipated safely and smoothly. Therefore, corresponding changes need to be made to the power supply, distribution, and thermal design of the data center.
When sharing Huawei's cloud innovation practices, Teng Jianjun, Chief Architect of Huawei Cloud Data Center, pointed out that with the development of AI ultra-high density, super large clusters, and super large scale, traditional data centers cannot evolve efficiently. Huawei Cloud addresses the many challenges brought by AI through productization and intelligent certainty, and reconstructs a stable, reliable, green, low-carbon, secure, and trustworthy AIDC.
At the AIDC Innovation Exhibition Area, Huawei focuses on scenarios such as full chain power supply from the power grid to chips, full chain thermal management from chips to outdoor, and AIDC inference, showcasing AIDC solutions for source grid load storage. Among them, Huawei Mount Taishan UPS and Huawei Hengshan DC UPS continue to lead the efficient and highly reliable power supply architecture. The AI enabled MW thermal management controller TMU helps the large-scale deployment of liquid cooling system from availability to long-term reliability.
During the forum, Huawei's full chain power POD and full chain cooling IT POD made a heavyweight appearance. As the culmination of data center power supply and distribution systems, the Full Chain Power POD supports a single box capacity of 3.2MW, with one box and one power supply, plug and play, outdoor deployment, and is the preferred solution for AIDC flexible power supply. The full chain refrigeration IT POD adopts an eight box one system design to achieve productization of the refrigeration chain, creating a fast delivery, high reliability, and high-efficiency thermal management system to assist AIDC in efficient heat dissipation.
