Swedish private technology company Therma Loop AB is accelerating its strategic landing in Northern Europe. After successfully obtaining the land reservation rights for the Hanko East Industrial Zone in Finland, this Swedish based company plans to build a new data energy center here as a key hub for its radiation to the Nordic and European markets. This action not only marks the expansion of T. Loop's territory, but also indicates that the construction of Nordic data centers is transitioning from a simple "accumulation of computing power" to "energy symbiosis".

Data center transforms into urban heater
Unlike traditional high energy consuming facilities, T. Loop's core competitiveness lies in its DEC concept - the deep integration of data centers and energy systems. According to the plan, the Hankou project will integrate a waste heat recovery system to convert the enormous heat generated by servers into thermal energy, which will be directly injected into the local regional heating network. CEO Helena Fagraeus Lundstr ö m pointed out bluntly: "Our model means that data centers are no longer just energy black holes, but contributors to social infrastructure." This design of "turning energy consumption into production capacity" aims to provide stability support for the power grid while achieving closed-loop resource utilization.
Nordic Green Computing Ambition
The location of Hankou University is not accidental. The Nordic region, with abundant fossil free energy supply, rock solid infrastructure, and increasing market demand for AI computing power, has become a golden anchorage for global digital infrastructure. T. Loop's layout this time is precisely based on Finland's unique green energy advantages and digital growth potential. Keywords: Computing Power Center, International News

At present, the project is still in the stage of land reservation and preliminary approval, and construction can only be started after the completion of permit application, environmental impact assessment, and technical verification. Although the specific production schedule has not been announced yet, T. Loop has clearly positioned it as a core part of its long-term strategy, committed to becoming a global benchmark for energy integrated data centers.Editor/Cheng Liting
