On May 6, 2026, the first phase of the Wuxi Computing Equipment Industrial Park project officially started construction, and the new modular AIDC ecosystem project was signed simultaneously. Du Xiaogang, the Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the ceremony, and Mayor Jiang Feng delivered a speech, showcasing the speed and passion of the digital economy.

This is not only a simple start, but also a rapid response to the national strategy. The outline of the 15th Five Year Plan of the country clearly proposes to build a nationwide integrated computing power network, and the Central Political Bureau meeting on April 28th specifically deployed the planning and construction of the computing power network. As the first computing power equipment industrial park in the country, Wuxi is taking the lead in this computing power competition with a daring attitude.

The industrial landmark that refreshes the speed of Wuxi

The total planned area is about 1000 acres, with an expected annual output value of 120 billion yuan - behind this astonishing number is Wuxi's ambition to build a full chain industrial ecosystem. From signing the contract on January 4th this year to starting construction on May 6th, a series of preliminary work such as site selection, demolition, and delisting were completed in just four months.

The first phase of the project, which is currently underway, is committed to introducing computing equipment system integration and core component manufacturing enterprises, with the goal of directly targeting the country's first new modular AIDC innovation demonstration base. Unlike traditional data centers, this will deploy computing resources quickly like building blocks through an integrated, prefabricated, and mobile high-performance computing infrastructure. The project is expected to be completed and delivered in December 2026, which will significantly improve the computing power supply level in Wuxi and even the Yangtze River Delta.

The modular revolution of reconstructing the computing power ecosystem

The signing process at the event site revealed a new model for future computing power construction: efficient integration of design certification manufacturing logistics installation delivery, covering the entire industry chain of computing power equipment manufacturing. This innovative model is precisely the confidence that Wuxi has become an important node in global computing equipment manufacturing and delivery.

Prior to the meeting, the city leaders conducted a special investigation into the main chain enterprises in the park. The enterprise is at the forefront of the modular container data center industry, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan in the first phase of its final assembly base project and an annual output of over 30 billion yuan after reaching production capacity. The city leaders emphasized the need to seize the opportunity of national new infrastructure, comprehensively sort out key links in the industrial chain, and forge Wuxi's core competitiveness.
