In May, the summer atmosphere is beginning to emerge in Beijing. In the conference room of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), Atamanov, President of Kakayev International University of Petroleum and Natural Gas in Turkmenistan, held hands tightly with Jin Yan, President of the Chinese side. Just last month, they signed an agreement in Ashgabat to jointly build the China Turkey Joint Energy Teaching Center; At this moment, they are lighting up the start-up device together on Chinese campuses, turning blueprints into reality.

This scene is a microcosm of the visit of the presidents of top oil and gas universities in Turkmenistan to China. At the forum on high-quality development of energy higher education of the "the Belt and Road", Atamanov not only reviewed the achievements of the 20th anniversary of China Turkey natural gas cooperation - the cumulative transmission of more than 460 billion cubic meters of gas, but also looked to the future: how to promote the application of oil and gas innovative technology in the field of science and education.

The unveiling of the China Turkey Joint Energy Teaching Center marks a new stage of physical operation in energy education cooperation between the two countries. The center will focus on cultivating high-level talents in the oil and gas field, and assist Turkmenistan in cultivating elite talents in the energy field through various forms such as jointly developing joint training projects, holding international academic conferences, organizing teacher-student exchange visits, and conducting joint academic research.

During the visit, President Atamanov and representatives from Chinese universities focused on discussing the introduction of international dual degree programs. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on specific matters such as joint training programs, course connections, and credit recognition, aiming to open up a further education path for Turkmenistan students to obtain certification from top oil and gas universities in China and Turkey.

Atamanov also held work talks with the leaders of Xi'an Petroleum University and Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University. Both parties focused on upgrading the quality of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan, and specifically discussed matters such as purchasing advanced teaching equipment and improving practical training conditions. This workshop is the world's first Luban workshop that integrates undergraduate, master's, and vocational skills training in the energy field. It was unveiled in Ashgabat on April 16th, and the purpose of this meeting is to further strengthen its hardware foundation.

From Ashgabat to Beijing, from natural gas pipelines to university laboratories, China Turkey cooperation is extending from energy trade to talent cultivation at a deeper level. As Atamanov stated in his speech, under the framework of strategic cooperation in science and education, the two countries are accumulating the most valuable talent for the future of energy cooperation.Editor/Yang Meiling
