In May 2026, a batch of containers loaded with complete sets of motorcycle parts were transported by railway from Guoyuan Port in Chongqing to Zhanjiang Port in Guangdong, and then transferred by sea to Yangpu Port in Hainan before finally heading to Yangon, Myanmar. This is the first successful customs clearance of exported goods through rail sea multimodal transport in Hainan, marking the official opening of a new channel for rail sea intermodal transport and free trade port transit.

One declaration for full passage

The batch of goods weighs 28.3 tons and has a value of 731000 yuan. In the new mode, enterprises do not need to declare multiple times, and after the goods are declared and cleared at the place of departure, they can achieve one-time declaration and full passage. The clearance time is reduced by 30% compared to the traditional transit mode, and the overall logistics cost is reduced by about 15%.

Load and unload to improve efficiency

The cargo relies on the Zhanjiang to Yangpu sea circular liner to implement the loading and unloading mode, making the transfer connection smoother. Hainan Jiyun Yangpu Company has already coordinated with Chongqing and Zhanjiang companies in advance regarding the declaration process, data flow, and other aspects, and cooperated with customs to sort out the difficulties and bottlenecks in cross customs transit.
