In Beijing in May, the heat of early summer is already floating in the air. In a conference room in Chaoyang District, Erjinqiong Turdimov, the governor of the SirDarya Oblast in Uzbekistan, is carefully examining a planning map - a 100 hectare plot of land located in his hometown of Akardin District. At this moment, the future of this land is becoming clear with negotiations with Chinese investors. For this governor, this visit to China is not only a way to attract investment, but also a crucial step in implementing President Mirziyoyev's March directive to build a modern chemical industry heart for Sildaria.

Hundred hectare blueprint

The core goal of this high-level negotiation is extremely clear: to designate a 100 hectare exclusive area in the Akardin District, introduce capital and green technology from institutions such as China Ocean Capital and Tianjin University of Technology, and build a chemical industrial zone that integrates production and research and development. About 200 investment measures are planned to be implemented within the project framework, with a focus on breaking through the production capacity bottleneck of high value-added chemical products. At the negotiation table, both sides not only discussed factory construction, but also focused on the introduction of modern technology, the improvement of industrial infrastructure, and how to create a large number of job opportunities through this park and optimize the mechanism of export-oriented production chain.

The President's Deadline

The chemical industry in Uzbekistan is at a crossroads of transformation and upgrading. On March 11th this year, President Mirziyoyev strongly pointed out at an industry conference that it is necessary to accelerate the development speed of the chemical industry and expand export-oriented production. Although the Sildaria region has a certain industrial foundation, it urgently needs external "blood transfusion" to enhance its technological content and competitiveness. This 100 hectare chemical park project is a benchmark project in response to the President's directive. The Ukrainian side hopes to quickly fill the gap in the high-end chemical industry by introducing China's mature experience, and upgrade Sildaria from a traditional agricultural and basic industrial zone to an industrial highland facing the international market.keywords:Infrastructure News

China's pivot point

For China, this is not only about exporting production capacity, but also about the deep synergy of the industrial chain. The participants include financial institutions such as China Ocean Capital providing financial support, while universities such as Tianjin University of Technology provide technological endorsements for green chemistry and circular economy. This "capital+technology+park operation" model has been validated in projects such as Pengsheng Industrial Park in Uzbekistan. Chinese companies value the advantageous geographical location of Ukraine and its potential as a hub for radiating to the markets of Central Asia and Central and Eastern Europe. By jointly building the park, China can not only help Ukraine achieve industrial upgrading, but also find a new foothold for its deep layout in the Central Asian market.Editor/Yang Meiling
