Recently, the cumulative transmission capacity of the ± 800 kV Qinghai Henan ultra-high voltage direct current transmission project has successfully exceeded 100 billion kilowatt hours, with a value of 100.017 billion kilowatt hours. The 100 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity transmitted by Qingyu DC has reduced the consumption of standard coal by about 35 million tons and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by over 96 million tons. This ultra-high voltage transmission channel effectively delivers Qinghai's abundant clean energy such as wind power, photovoltaics, and hydropower to the core power consumption area of Central China. It not only transforms Qinghai's energy resource advantages into local economic development advantages, but also provides a solid guarantee for the safe and stable power supply of the Central China region's power system.

As the world's first ultra-high voltage transmission channel dedicated to clean energy transmission, Qingyu DC connects the Northwest New Energy Base with the Central China Power Load Center. The starting point of the route is Qinghai Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and the endpoint is located in Zhumadian City, Henan Province. The entire route runs through Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Henan provinces, with a total length of 1587 kilometers. Keywords: Engineering infrastructure,Infrastructure,Infrastructure News

It is reported that the project has successively overcome a series of technical difficulties such as the transportation of ultra-high voltage core equipment, adaptation to high-altitude extreme environment engineering, and high proportion of new energy grid integration and consumption, achieving localized assembly, transportation, and factory maintenance of ultra-high voltage core equipment in high-altitude areas. At the same time, the innovative application of the "large-scale phase-shifting camera+distributed phase-shifting camera group" comprehensive flexible support system effectively solves the technical pain points of high proportion new energy centralized grid connection and long-distance power transmission, creating a replicable and promotable successful example for large-scale and stable external transmission of new energy bases.Editor/Gong Ziwei
