[The world's largest LNG ship, Hudong Zhonghua, has started construction] On June 9, 2026, the world's largest 271000 cubic meter LNG transport ship started construction at Zhonghua Shipbuilding in Hudong, with a total length of 344 meters and equipped with the latest domestically produced membrane enclosure system, increasing cargo capacity by 57% compared to mainstream 174000 cubic meter ships. It is planned to be delivered in 2028. At present, the global market share of LNG ships in China has exceeded 30%, and Hudong Zhonghua holds nearly 60 orders, scheduled until after 2030, firmly ranking first in global construction.
