Starting from 2023, Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition will deeply cultivate the international market, lead Chinese construction machinery enterprises to layout overseas, actively seek emerging markets, and continuously expand their international territory. Organized three sessions of the Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition Southeast Asia Branch in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with a cumulative exhibition area of over 30000 square meters and more than 360 participating companies. The exhibition generated sales of over 2 billion yuan.

Currently, Africa has become the fastest-growing emerging market in the global construction machinery industry due to the comprehensive acceleration of industrialization and infrastructure construction. The annual infrastructure investment in Africa reaches 130 billion to 170 billion US dollars, with over 90% dependence on imported engineering equipment and strong demand for equipment updates. The export momentum of Hunan's construction machinery industry is strong, with the export value of related products in the province increasing from 16.37 billion yuan in 2022 to 31.76 billion yuan in 2025, a four-year growth rate of 94%. In the first two months of 2026, exports to Africa surged by 77% year-on-year.

With strong support and guidance from the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and the Changsha Municipal People's Government, this exhibition is jointly organized by the Kenya Investment Promotion Agency, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, and the Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition Organizing Committee. In order to achieve a leap in overseas layout from Southeast Asia to Africa, the organizing committee has continued to expand its international "circle of friends" along the overseas expansion path of "deeply cultivating the surrounding areas and radiating globally". More than 1300 professional buyers have come to negotiate, and the customer network has radiated to 15 African countries including Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. Local engineering and mining procurement alliances in Kenya have also formed groups to attend, and have also established an African procurement network for the 5th Changsha International Engineering Machinery Exhibition in 2027.
