[Almaty, Kazakhstan increases construction of urban rail transit] Almaty plans to build its first LRV light rail and a second subway, with the second subway connecting the city center and the airport. The second subway line in Central Asia, Line A, which was put into operation in 2011, uses Korean wide gauge trains.
