On August 18, 2026, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the "Research Report on Tailored Intelligent Training Fields (2026)". With the accelerated layout of pilot bases and training grounds for humanoid robots, embodied intelligent training grounds have become a key new type of infrastructure in China, showing characteristics of large-scale and clustered development.

Continuous expansion of infrastructure layout

More than 70 physical intelligent training fields have been put into use nationwide, with over 40 under construction or planned, forming a complete industrial chain. The training ground has formed three major clusters: the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing Tianjin Hebei, and Pearl River Delta, covering more than half of the provincial administrative regions, no longer limited to first tier cities, gradually expanding to third tier and below cities.

Experts say that the purpose of the training ground is to promote the application of the robotics industry, and improving the data engineering assembly line is the key to upgrading production capacity. The industry covers the entire process from data collection, annotation, model training to real machine deployment. Repetitive industrial scenarios such as assembly manufacturing and material handling will be the first to be implemented; The implementation of ethical constraints in interactive scenarios related to people's livelihoods is relatively late. By 2025, the scale of China's AI core industry will exceed 1.2 trillion yuan, with over 6200 enterprises.

Industry standards are about to be implemented

The "Quality Requirements and Evaluation Methods for Tailored Intelligent Dataset" jointly developed by the Institute of Information and Communications Technology and more than 40 units will be implemented on November 1, 2026. Establish a quality framework for datasets and set eight evaluation indicators, including integrity and security. This standard can reduce the cost of trial and error for enterprises, promote data sharing transactions, and help demanders screen high-quality datasets. The logo industry has shifted from prioritizing scale to prioritizing quality, filling the gap in standards in the field of embodied intelligent data.

Real time training accelerates industrialization

Embodied intelligence is accelerating its exit from laboratories, and training grounds are being incorporated into future industrial planning in multiple locations. Domestic enterprises have produced 1.5 million hours of human video training data, leading the world, but large models still require millions or even billions of hours of massive data support. The industry builds a continuous learning infrastructure of "data evaluation deployment feedback iteration". After real-life training, humanoid robots can complete high-risk operations such as operating electrical cabinets, and power inspection robots are gradually being delivered. Tens of thousands of training data can achieve an 80-90% success rate for actions, and supplementary data can further approach the full success rate. Keywords: embodied intelligence, intelligent training ground, humanoid robot

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission have proposed a special action plan to create an industrial closed loop of real-life training, data accumulation, product iteration, and scale deployment around the three major scenarios of industry, service, and special industries.Editor/Gong Ziwei
