Indonesia hopes for deep cooperation

On August 21, 2026, Indonesian President Prabowo met with Wang Yi, Dong Jun, and their delegation at his official residence in Jakarta. Prabowo highly recognizes the effectiveness of various dialogue mechanisms between China and Indonesia, and praises China's development achievements as setting an example for countries in the global South. He stated that Indonesia values China's respect and support, opposes external forces stirring up trouble, looks forward to deepening cooperation in political, economic, technological and other fields, welcomes Chinese enterprises to invest and develop locally, and will continue to optimize the business environment. At the same time, he confirmed that he will attend the November Shenzhen APEC meeting to deepen strategic communication with China.

China joins hands for common development

The Chinese side fully recognizes Indonesia's development achievements and points out that the two countries have compatible ideas and complementary advantages, and are reliable long-term partners for each other. China is willing to assist Indonesia in revitalizing its resource advantages, accelerating industrialization and modernization, and benefiting the people of both countries. In the face of a turbulent and complex external environment, China emphasizes that the two countries should adhere to open cooperation, mutual trust and assistance, implement the results of various dialogue mechanisms, deepen cooperation in politics, energy, mining, security and other fields, work together to safeguard common interests, promote regional peace and stability, and establish a benchmark for cooperation among developing countries.Editor/Min Jing
