The story of Anhui enterprises rooting in Central Asia is extending from the land of Jianghuai to the banks of the Syr Darya River. Recently, an Anhui agricultural delegation visited Tashkent Oblast and had a face-to-face meeting with the local governor Mirzaev, spreading Anhui's plans for water-saving irrigation and intelligent greenhouses into the fertile soil of Central Asia, continuing to write a new chapter in cooperation between the two regions.

Continuously strengthening the foundation of cooperation

Zuir Mirzaev, Governor of Tashkent Oblast, Uzbekistan, met with a delegation led by Wang Xuejun, member of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Both sides affirmed the deepening and practical cooperation between the two regions in recent years. As early as 2024, Anhui had already finalized a friendly provincial relationship agreement with Tashkent Oblast, and Bozhou City had also established a friendly district city relationship with the local Pisken Special Zone. In June of the same year, Tashkent Oblast also established an official representative office in Anhui, setting up a physical docking platform for exchanges between the two regions.

Anhui capital increases investment in the local market

Chinese capital is a key component of foreign investment in Tashkent Oblast. At present, there are a total of 3455 foreign-funded enterprises and 784 Chinese funded enterprises in Tashkent Oblast, of which 82 are jointly established by Anhui enterprises. The investment volume is also continuously increasing. The direct investment amount of Anhui investors in Tashkent Oblast in 2025 is 402 million US dollars; The investment amount for the first seven months of 2026 will reach another 286 million US dollars. With the continuous landing of funds, the cooperation between the two places has expanded from ordinary investment business to agricultural technology and physical industry projects.

Multi point layout of agricultural technology

This meeting focuses on exploring the implementation of Anhui's mature water resource management and water-saving irrigation experience in Tashkent Oblast, and promoting the implementation of intelligent environmental protection greenhouse construction projects. Both parties plan to jointly establish an in vitro joint laboratory and seedling cultivation base, and select fruit and vegetable varieties that are suitable for the local climate and have excellent yields. At the same time, the plan is to complete localized adaptation testing of Anhui's agricultural biotechnology and biological products, and include the sericulture industry in the scope of cooperation, attempting a new model of outdoor tree based sericulture.
