On the morning of June 5, 2020, Sinopec Corp. announced that Da Zhijian from the Academy of Petroleum Sciences and Party Secretary Li Mingfeng and his party visited the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Institute and met with Du Jizhou, deputy general manager of the China Petroleum Science and Technology Management Department, Party Committee Secretary of the Petrochemical Research Institute, Dean He Shengbao and vice president Ma An signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.

After the visit, the two sides conducted full exchanges and discussions on topics such as scientific research management, strategic research, intellectual property rights, and personnel training.

He Shengbao welcomed the arrival of Da Zhijian and Li Mingfeng, and hoped that the two hospitals would complement each other's advantages, achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, implement projects, and deepen all-round strategic cooperation in all fields.

Da Zhijian expressed his admiration for the remarkable performance achieved since the establishment of the Petrochemical Institute, and hoped that the two institutes would complement each other's advantages, jointly declare projects, promote resource and information sharing, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Li Mingfeng said that he hopes to carry out regular special seminars, learn from each other, learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, and take cooperation projects as carriers to jointly promote the improvement of the industry's technical level.

Du Jizhou expressed the hope that the two institutes “support the present and lead the future”, uphold the scientific spirit of open cooperation, accelerate the improvement of the independent innovation capability of the petroleum industry, and conduct in-depth cooperation around supporting leading the upgrading and high-quality development of the chemical refining industry.

According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on coping with the common challenges facing the energy and chemical industry, carry out scientific research, technology development, talent training, technology promotion and other aspects of cooperation to achieve win-win cooperation and common development.
