[CNOOC Qatar Offshore Oil and Gas General Contracting Project starts construction] On September 15, 2026, the Qatar BH EPIC project of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) started construction in Qingdao. This is the highest international offshore oil and gas engineering general contracting project in China to date, with a total amount of approximately 4 billion US dollars. The project includes more than 60 offshore oil and gas facilities, 40 submarine pipelines and cables, and a total steel processing capacity of over 130000 tons. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, CNOOC Engineering has undertaken over 170 overseas projects, and its global competitiveness in high-end offshore engineering contracting continues to improve.
