More than 300 guests gathered in the conference hall of the United Nations headquarters in New York. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Global Development Initiative, political leaders and heads of international organizations from various countries discussed a blueprint for cooperation, and a high-level dialogue on the direction of global development began.

On September 25, 2026, the High level Dialogue on the 5th Anniversary of the Global Development Initiative was successfully held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. More than 300 guests, including leaders, ministerial level officials, and heads of international organizations from member countries of the Friends of the Global Development Initiative, attended.   Over the past 5 years, collaborative projects have taken root and blossomed in more than 120 countries. Vice Chairman Han Zheng attended and elaborated on four points. China will train 10000 engineers for developing countries in the next five years, jointly implement flagship projects such as Digital South and Clean Stoves, and extensively carry out bilateral, multilateral, and trilateral cooperation based on relevant mechanisms of the initiative.

Five years of practice have shown that China has always been committed to seeking progress for humanity, seeking common ground for the world, providing Chinese solutions and making Chinese contributions to achieving common development of all countries, constantly transforming the beautiful vision of sustainable development goals into a tangible reality, and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.Editor/Min Jing
