[The 5th Border Defense Friendly Exchange Event between China and Laos was held] On October 13, 2026, the fifth border defense friendly exchange event between China and Laos was held at Mengla County and Mohan Port in Yunnan Province. The delegations of both sides carried out boundary marker painting, observed equipment training, planted friendship trees together, and donated materials to the local Hope Primary School. The two sides proposed to implement the high-level consensus and build an all-weather China Laos community with a shared future in the new era. 2026 is the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, and a good year for China and Laos.
