The Gansu Zhejiang Ultra High Voltage Project is a key project in the national power development plan. It starts in Wuwei City, Gansu Province and ends in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, with a total length of 2370 kilometers. • The 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant of Shanghai Petrochemical officially started construction on October 25, 2026. As a major project in Shanghai, the total investment of the project is about 21.3 billion yuan, and it is expected to be completed by the end of October 2028. The new facility adopts Sinopec's independent intellectual property low-energy ethylene separation technology. After it is put into operation, the existing 700000 tons/year ethylene plant will be shut down, and the annual ethylene production capacity will jump to 1.2 million tons. • On October 26, 2026, the highway from Heyuan Zijin to Jiangdong New Area officially entered the comprehensive construction stage. The project starts from Huanghua Village in Zicheng Town, Zijin County, connecting to National Highway G236, and ends at Nianfeng Village in Linjiang Town, Jiangdong New District, connecting to National Highway G355. The total length of the main line is 48.22 kilometers, constructed according to the standard of a two-way four lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. As a key east-west channel for promoting the integration of deep and deep rivers in Heyuan, the project is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in 2029, which will fill the gap in the high-speed connection from Zijin to the city center.
