On the evening of November 1, 2026, Sultan Hussein of Oman arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport by plane and began a two-day visit to China. This visit is the first visit to China by Sultan Hussein since his succession, and also the first visit by an Omani head of state to China in the 48 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Oman.

During the visit, the Chinese President will hold talks with Sultan Hussein to exchange in-depth views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern. Premier Li Qiang will meet with Sultan Hussein.

The traditional friendship between China and Oman is profound. In recent years, the political mutual trust between the two countries has been continuously consolidated, mutually beneficial cooperation has steadily advanced, cultural exchanges have become increasingly close, and good communication has been maintained in international and regional affairs.
