The newly-built Dezhou-Shanghe Railway is located in the northwest of Shandong Province and runs west-east. The line starts from the Dezhou East Station of the Shiji Railway Station in the west, and reaches the Shanghe South Station of the Jinan-Binzhou High-speed Railway in the east. It passes through Decheng District, Lingcheng District, Linyi County, Shanghe County. The newly built main line has a total length of 74.331 kilometers (of which 60.104 kilometers are in Dezhou City and 14.227 kilometers are in Jinan City), the right line detours are 7.343 kilometers, and the new bridge is 68.056 kilometers in length (converted by double lines). The proportion of the bridge is 91.56%. There are a total of 4 stations on the whole line, including the reconstruction of two stations in Dezhou East and Lingcheng, the construction of a new Linyi station, and the construction of a commercial Henan station with the proposed Jinbin high-speed railway. The design speed target value is 350 km/h. The total estimated investment of the project is about RMB 16,749,51 million and the planned total construction period is 4 years.

The newly-built Jinan-Binzhou Railway Project is located in the northern part of the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration, and the line is led from the Jinan East Station of Jinan Hub (in parallel with the Jiqing High-speed Railway) to the north of Licheng District, Zhangqiu District, Jiyang District, and Shanghe County in the economic south of the city. Go east through Huimin County and Bincheng District of Binzhou City, and connect to Binzhou Station (Jibin, Binzi, Jinwei and Weichang). The length of the main line is 145.292 kilometers, including 90.516 kilometers in Jinan City and 54.776 kilometers in Binzhou City. There are 131.658 km/4 bridges on the main line, 7.458 km/2 bridges on the main line, 0.452 km/1 bridge on the underground station of Yaoqiang Airport, and the total length of the bridge and tunnel is 139.568 km, accounting for 96.06% of the total length of the line (including the underground station of Yaoqiang Airport). There are 6 stations in Jinan East, Yaoqiang Airport, Jiyang, Shanghe, Huimin, and Binzhou on the whole line, including 4 newly built stations, introducing 2 existing stations (Jinan East, Binzhou), and Yaoqiang Airport Station as an underground station. The design speed target value is 350 km/h (200 km/h from the east of Jinan to Jiyang), the estimated total investment of the project is about 320.063 million yuan, and the total planned construction period of the project is 4 years.

It is reported that the Jibin high-speed railway, the Jizao high-speed railway, and the German high-speed railway strive to start construction within the year. By 2025, Jinan will build 8 railway projects including the Huangtai Link, Jilai High Speed Rail, Jizheng High Speed Rail, Jibin High Speed Rail, Ji Zao High Speed Rail, and Deshang High Speed Rail. The total mileage of the city’s high speed rail will reach about 600 kilometers. Jinan is the center of the "Rice" high-speed rail network. In the future, the completion of these three high-speed rails will greatly improve the layout of Shandong's high-speed rail network, ease the surrounding traffic pressure, and facilitate the travel of the people.
