On July 26, 2020, the Bangladesh Branch of the Petroleum Pipeline Bureau received a letter of award from the bidding party China Railway Bridge Bureau and won the bid for the Padma Bridge natural gas pipeline project.
The project is a PC project. The Padma Bridge natural gas pipeline project is designed by AECOM of the United States. The Pipeline Bureau is responsible for the procurement and installation of the 6 km long and 30" diameter natural gas pipeline on the bridge railway deck. The project period is 1 year.
The winning of the project is an important achievement of the Asia-Pacific company's implementation of measures to strengthen safety, stabilize the market, grab progress, strive for payment, and ensure benefits under the background of improving quality and efficiency. It not only demonstrates the pipeline bureau’s role as the Bangladesh oil and gas storage and transportation engineering market. An important force, also created a precedent for the pipeline bureau in the construction of natural gas pipelines on super large highway bridges overseas.
The Petroleum Pipeline Bureau seizes the opportunity of the Belt and Road construction and vigorously explores the international market. Since 2015, the Petroleum Pipeline Bureau has built more than 20,000 kilometers of long-distance pipelines for the countries along the Belt and Road, with a cumulative revenue of more than 50 billion yuan.
