On August 4, 2020, the Ministry of Commerce issued the "Notice of Winning the Bid" for the assistance of the Sino-West African Regional Headquarters of China Power Construction in Equatorial Guinea for the New Nefang Hospital. This project is the first medical assistance project provided by China to Equatorial Guinea and is a positive response One of the eight actions proposed by the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is also an important result of the implementation of health actions.

The project is located in the suburbs of Niefang City, Equatorial Guinea, about 2 kilometers, covers an area of 15,000 square meters, and has a construction area of about 5,665 square meters. The hospital has clinical departments for obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, and surgery, medical examinations, hospitalization and related supporting facilities . The main buildings include the outpatient and emergency building, medical technology building, general inpatient building, infectious disease building, logistics building, sewage treatment station, garbage treatment station and supporting infrastructure. After the project is completed, it will effectively improve the medical conditions of local people and promote the development of the local medical and health system.
