On the morning of November 19, 2020, a groundbreaking ceremony for the Xinfeng-Nanxiong Expressway project was held in Zhengping Town, Xinfeng County. It is reported that the Xinfeng-Nanxiong (Gan-Guangdong border) expressway new construction project started in Xiaohe Town, Xinfeng County, with Xiaohe Hub Interchange to connect with the Ganding Section of Daguang Expressway, passing through Xiaohe Town and Zhengping Town, Xinfeng County from east to west With Wanlong Township, a Zhengping hub is set up in Zhengping Town to intersect with the Daguang Expressway double line. Finally, the Jiezhi Town of Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province (Gan-Yuejie) and the Nanxiong-Xinfeng section of Guangdong Xiongle Expressway are connected. The length is 13.92km, and the total investment estimate is 1.875 billion yuan.

The main line of the project adopts two-way four-lane expressway standard construction with a design speed of 100 km/h. There are 14 bridges on the main line, with a total length of 2502.77 meters (including the interoperable main line bridge and the separated overpass on the main line); 1 tunnel, right The hole is 718m long (the left hole is 655m long). A total of 2 hubs and 1 maintenance work area are set up across the line. There is no exit intercommunication, service area and parking area.

The construction period of the project is 36 months, and it is planned to be completed and opened to traffic in November 2023. The completion of the project will be further optimized, the surrounding expressway network will be improved, and the road network layout will strengthen the east-west connection between the two provinces of Jiangxi and Guangdong. Accelerate the docking between Ganzhou and Shaoguan, accelerate the docking of our city into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, build an important node city along the Belt and Road, and build a national comprehensive transportation hub.
