[Tanzania and South Korea signed a US$300 million loan framework agreement] <p>On December 8, 2020, the Tanzanian Ministry of Finance and the South Korean Ambassador to Tanzania signed a USD 300 million concessional loan framework agreement on behalf of the two governments. This loan was issued by the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), and mainly provides financing support for five projects in Tanzania, namely: the construction of two substations for the Northwest Power Grid (45 million US dollars) and the improvement of the sewage treatment capacity of Dodoma City (70 million U.S. dollars), provide equipment support (65 million U.S. dollars) for the improvement of Tanzania&#39;s land surveying and mapping capabilities, provide supplementary loans (32.6 million U.S. dollars) for the construction of the Sailand Bridge in Da City, and provide budget support for the Tanzanian government (40 million U.S. dollars).
