Jingzhou airport is a key project in our province. It is the first navigable airport in the first year of the Civil Aviation Administration's "14th five year plan" and the 242 th civil transport airport in China. It is located in cenhe Town, Shashi District, Jingzhou City, with a construction land of about 2144 Mu and a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan. The construction will start on October 8, 2018. It is designed to meet the target of passenger throughput of 700000 person times and cargo throughput of 2450 tons in 2025, and the flight level is 4C.

After the airport is officially put into operation, it will meet the flight requirements of A321, B737-800 and similar aircraft, and provide civil aviation transportation, flight training, emergency rescue, emergency rescue, commuting transportation, air tour and other navigation services for nearly 30 million people in Jianghan Plain and Dongting Lake Plain.
