On February 25, 2021, the opening ceremony of Hong Kong infection control center of North Lantau hospital was held in Hong Kong. The chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mrs Carrie Lam, and other government officials, as well as the relevant persons in charge of the Hong Kong Joint Office of the CPC Central Committee and other guests attended the ceremony and visited the hospital wards.

The hospital was built with the aid of Shenzhen City and undertaken by China Construction International Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CSCEC. It was implemented in Hong Kong and accepted by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It was completed and handed over on January 20 and officially opened the first batch of 48 isolation beds on February 26.

The Hong Kong infection control center of North Lantau hospital is located on the west side of Hong Kong Asia International Expo. It is a total negative pressure isolation ward hospital. It is built according to the permanent building standards of Hong Kong. It covers an area of about 30000 square meters and a building area of about 44000 square meters, including six ward buildings, one medical center and supporting facilities. It can provide 136 wards and 816 negative pressure isolation beds.

Lin zhengyue'e visited the construction site of the project for three times. After receiving the report of CSCI on the construction of temporary hospitals and community treatment facilities in Hong Kong, she sent a signed letter to CSCI on February 19, expressing her sincere thanks to all the Chinese construction management and engineering personnel who participated in the construction of temporary hospitals and community treatment facilities in Hong Kong. She said in the letter that since the construction of the project, the Chinese construction engineering team and personnel have been working hard day and night to actively cooperate with various departments of the Hong Kong SAR government to complete the two projects in a very short time and provide additional medical facilities in time, so that Hong Kong can better cope with the unexpected epidemic situation. The achievements and experience of the project also provide valuable reference for the future construction of medical facilities in Hong Kong and the further cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong.

No need to touch the automatic door, step by step visible cleaning and disinfection facilities, the corridor posted on the use of protective equipment instructions Although the hospital was completed in only four months, all wards in the hospital have hospital level isolation treatment facilities, which can provide patients with drug infusion and oxygen treatment options.

According to fan Hongling, chairman of the hospital authority of Hong Kong, this is the first hospital in Hong Kong to build a negative pressure isolation ward by using the mic technology. The newly added automatic nucleic acid detection instrument can process about 1500 patient samples per day. The novel coronavirus pneumonia is provided with 816 isolation beds, and the patients are diagnosed with new crown pneumonia.

A ward is equipped with 6 beds and a bathroom. The beds are divided into two rows. Each bed is equipped with a chair, a bedside table and a bed table. The bed is covered with a set of light colored floral bedding. The wall on the back of the bed is equipped with various medical detection instruments. There are also intelligent biological instruments in the ward, which are convenient for medical staff to test the patient's condition.

It is understood that the Hong Kong infection control center of North Lantau hospital today first opened a ward with 48 isolation beds to receive patients aged 16 to 65 with mild or moderate clinical conditions. With the development of the epidemic, hospitals will gradually receive patients who are still in community treatment facilities, so as to concentrate manpower and use resources more effectively.
