On March 18, the public auxiliary system project of Guangxi Huayi New Material Co., Ltd. of China Chemical 13 Company officially started for 750,000 tons/year of propylene and downstream deep processing project. It is understood that the project is located in the Petrochemical Industrial Park of Qinzhou Port, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a key project for Huayi Group to establish industry benchmarks in the C3 and downstream fields. The initial investment is 9 billion yuan. The production capacity of the project is 750,000 tons/year propane dehydrogenation to propylene, 400,000 tons/year acrylic acid, 400,000 tons/year butyl acrylate, 100,000 tons/year super absorbent resin (SPA) and other process equipment, and supporting facilities Public works and auxiliary facilities such as the transformation and distribution station, circulating water field, intermediate storage tank, raw material and finished product tank farm.

On March 19, the Wenzhou Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) receiving station project undertaken by China Chemical 14 Company officially started. As one of the important gas storage facilities in the natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system of Zhejiang Province, the first phase of the project has a designed annual receiving capacity of 3 million tons, including four 200,000 cubic meters of storage tanks. The long-term design annual receiving capacity is 10 million tons. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2022. By then, the world's largest 266,000 m3 LNG ship will be able to dock at the terminal, which will vigorously protect the domestic and industrial gas use in Wenzhou and surrounding areas, and will serve as the main LNG input point in southern Zhejiang, and will be the future green energy. Lay the foundation for development.

On March 22, the Inner Mongolia Jiutai Carbon Dioxide Aromatics Industrial Pilot Project of China Chemical Chengda Company held the opening ceremony. The project was jointly developed, designed and constructed by Chengda Company, Tsinghua University and Inner Mongolia Jiutai Group Company. It is the world's first carbon dioxide to aromatics plant. The project responds to the country’s call for “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” and is of great significance to China’s large-scale carbon dioxide resource utilization and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. It will help realize low-cost green chemicals and promote the transformation and upgrading of China’s traditional industries. Promote the formation of a circular and sustainable green and clean energy ecology.

On March 22, the first-stage receiving station of Tangshan LNG project and the pile foundation project in the front area of the Tangshan LNG project undertaken by the Chemical Exploration and Design Institute of China Chemical 13 Company officially started. The project is located in the Caofeidian Port Logistics Park in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. It is currently the project with the largest unloading capacity among the LNG receiving station projects under construction and planning in the Bohai Rim. After completion, a new reliable gas supply source will be added to North China to supplement the natural gas demand in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and to meet the seasonal natural gas peak shaving demand in Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao and other regions, which will help promote the regional economy. On March 26, China Chemical Donghua Tianye New Materials Co., Ltd., jointly invested by China Chemical Donghua Company and Xinjiang Tianye Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 500,000 tons of PBAT and the first phase of supporting projects officially started.

The first phase of the project has a construction scale of 100,000 tons/year, with a total investment of about 650 million yuan, covering an area of about 150 mu, and an estimated construction period of one year, with an annual output of 400,000 tons of PBAT in the second phase. Donghua Company will use this as a starting point to integrate design, procurement, construction, R&D, and operation advantages to create an integrated base of engineering, industry, and R&D in the field of biodegradable materials.
