As the super-rich said, the first million is the hardest. Therefore, we have even more reason to celebrate the one millionth forklift produced by Linde Material Handling Plant in Aschaffenburg. From the first vehicle with hydrostatic drive to today's fully networked, industrial vehicles have undergone great changes. Since 1959, the Aschaffenburg plant of the KION subsidiary has been producing forklifts, and in recent decades, the plant has undergone tremendous changes. Its production department and products are the best in the same category in the world. Therefore, it is no wonder that customers will once again look forward to new innovations in Linde Material Handling.

Although the new crown epidemic prevented all large-scale celebrations, when the one millionth balance car rolled off the assembly line at the Aschaffenburg factory in mid-March, many employees still felt like goose bumps. To celebrate the manufacture of this landmark forklift, Linde held a firework show that lasted several minutes indoors. The next day, the Linde forklift, with the signatures of all the assembly workers on the back, set off for the future home of Colorobbia España S.A. on the east coast of Spain, and joined a 60-person forklift fleet. "Colorobbia España S.A. is one of the world's largest factories producing pigments and other products for the ceramic and glass industries.

Its CEO Gonzalo Trilles de Castro said: "We have been using Linde brand industrial vehicles for 24 years, and pay special attention to the user-friendliness and safety of the vehicles." He also attaches particular importance to the sustainability, innovation and Companies that are in line with his philosophy in terms of technology establish reliable partnerships: "All these are guarantees of long-term success, and we share them with our customers as a competitive advantage."

The one millionth counterbalanced forklift from the main plant in Aschaffenburg is the latest highlight in Linde Material Handling's successful history of more than 60 years. With the modern 1202 series, Linde Material Handling focuses on the connectivity of its counterbalanced forklifts: high-performance, multi-functional, robust, user-friendly, and most importantly, digital connection. These are the attributes of the new generation. Customers can equip their industrial vehicles with new functions beyond the operating time without having to replace any hardware components. Digital forklift archives continuously record equipment, usage and forklift conditions. The forklift can also be accessed through remote maintenance. This means that faults can be directly corrected digitally or perfectly prepared for visits by service technicians.

In its first forklift "Hubtrac", Linde Material Handling provides an industry-defined technology option to replace previous industrial vehicles. Thanks to the innovative hydrostatic drive and dual pedal control, this original model was used for storing and retrieving goods and loading and unloading trucks and vans. Even at that time, it also ensured the high turnover performance of cargo handling, and quickly became the standard for all Linde balance vehicles.

Just like back then, Linde Material Handling is continuing to set technical standards today to adapt forklifts to future developments through various energy types, intelligent auxiliary systems and connectivity. "Our goal is to help our customers' material flow processes be as efficient and safe as possible, so that they can achieve greater success in their core business," said Stefan Prokosch, senior vice president of brand management at Linde Material Handling. "With products that can win customers, we have set our sights on the next milestone in the company's history, namely the new generation of Linde electric forklifts launched in June this year."
