On June 11, 2021, China Communications Road Construction and China Construction Seventh Engineering Group won the bid for the highway construction project between Gushi and Henan and Anhui Provinces, with a total investment of 5.1 billion yuan.

The starting point of the project route is located at the boundary of Henan and Anhui provinces on the north side of Nan'an Mountain Forest Park in Chenji Town, Gushi County. The route crosses the provincial highway S203 (planned) to the west near Badian Village, and sets up interchanges; continue to demonstratively detour to the northwest. After the point, cross the provincial highway S205 (planned) to the west near the Dahuangying Village of Jiangjinan, and set up an interchange; cross the Shiguan River on the south side of Jiangji Town, and cross the existing provincial highway S204 at the north of Hongbu.
