Orderly power delivery

The external power supply project of the Laos section of the China-Laos Railway is constructed by the Lao-China Power Investment Company, a joint venture established by China Southern Grid Yunnan International Company and the Lao National Power Company. The project will build 20 new 115-kV lines with a total length of 257 kilometers, expand 11 115-kV substations, and connect 10 electrified railway traction substations to the Lao National Grid. The construction of the project was completed on March 31, 2021, and the acceptance of the project was completed with the joint participation of the Lao government and the Lao National Power Company.

The 115kV Penghong traction substation external power supply project in Penghong County, the capital of Vientiane Province, Laos, successfully transmitted power this time. The live operation range includes two 115kV transmission lines of approximately 24.2 kilometers and one 115kV substation interval. .
