ST Engineering and Siemens Mobility announced that it has won a $180 million contract to update and modernize the communications systems of Singapore’s North-South and East-West Line (NSEWL) and Bukit Panjang Light Rail (BPLRT). Covering 75 locations, including stations, transfer stations, online substations, stations, and control centers, the update plan will replace and upgrade the existing communication systems of NSEWL and selected BPLRT, which is the largest scale since more than 20 lines started operating Once.
"NSEWL and BPLRT are the most used lines in Singapore’s railway network. Together with our partners, we provide deep technical and domain expertise to ensure zero interruption while deploying new communication systems to existing systems and training services.
