Recently, the newly-built Ganzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway, which was constructed by the first and third companies of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, Electrification Company, Zhuqiao Company, and Design Research Institute, was officially opened and operated, helping the development of the old revolutionary zone in northern Guangdong and southern Jiangxi to achieve "acceleration". The old revolutionary base area of southern Jiangxi and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are “connected by a thread”.

Construction of the Ganshen High-speed Railway started in October 2017. It starts from Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province in the north, passes through Heyuan, Huizhou and Dongguan City in Guangdong Province, and ends in Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province. There are 14 stations in East, Huizhou North, Shenzhen North, etc., with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

This line is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, running through the old revolutionary base in southern Jiangxi, connecting the Yangtze River economic belt in the north, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in Nantong. The opening of the Ganshen high-speed rail ends the history of the absence of direct access to Guangdong high-speed railways in southern Jiangxi, and it will be shortened to about 3.5 hours from Nanchang to Shenzhen via Ganzhou.Editor/Baohongying
