The Gansu Provincial Government recently issued the "Implementation Plan for New Energy Plus Action in Gansu Province", which clearly promotes the integration and mutual promotion of new energy and related industries, mutually empowers them, cultivates and strengthens emerging business models, and achieves large-scale development and high-level consumption of new energy. The plan proposes that by 2030, the installed capacity of new energy will reach 160 million kilowatts, and the province's new electricity demand will mainly be met by new energy generation. Important new energy and new energy equipment manufacturing bases in the country will be basically completed.

The plan specifies the implementation of ten actions, including the integration of new energy and complementary energy, and the integration of new energy and green parks. It aims to accelerate the construction of a strong energy province, innovate and expand new models for the development and utilization of new energy, and promote the integration of new energy with multiple industries and fields.

Gansu Province will focus on national level new areas and high-tech industrial development zones, vigorously develop green energy consumption models such as direct connection of green electricity, smart microgrids, and green electricity aggregation, and create a number of zero carbon parks. At the same time, the green electricity hydrogen production industry is planned as a whole, the green hydrogen production and comprehensive utilization pilot demonstration is carried out in Hexi area, the comprehensive energy application demonstration of hydrogen energy multi energy complementation is carried out in Longdong area, and the green hydrogen corridor is built along the node cities of the the Belt and Road corridor in the province.
