On March 14, local time, China Railway Construction Corporation won the bid for the Chilean Coquimbo Hospital franchise project, which is the largest single franchised medical project won by a Chinese company in Chile.

The project is located in Coquimbo City, Coquimbo Region, Chile, about 470 kilometers north of the capital Santiago. It is China Railway Construction's first overseas franchise hospital project. China Railway Construction International Group will lead the investment and financing. The project adopts the PPP model, the contract value is about 669 million US dollars, and the total construction area is about 131,400 square meters. After the project is completed, it will become the largest comprehensive modern hospital in the Coquimbo region, benefiting about 980,000 people in Limari, Elki and Joapa provinces. The network is of great significance to improving the overall medical service level in the Coquimbo area.

The project plans to set up 605 beds and 22 operating rooms. The construction period of the project is about 5 years, and the main implementation contents include design, construction, procurement, installation and training of medical equipment. The maintenance period of the project is 15 years, and the main content is to maintain the basic equipment and facilities of the completed hospital.
