The Shizong to Qiubei (Wenshan section) expressway project route starts from Ziwu Lao Village, Caiyun Town, Shizong County, Qujing City, connects with Qishi Expressway, and ends at Sanjiatang Village, Shuanglongying Town, Qiubei County, Wenshan Prefecture, and connects Qiu North to Yanshan Expressway. The total length of the route is 91.2 kilometers, and the investment is estimated to be 17.98 billion yuan, of which the Wenshan section is 21.5 kilometers long and the investment is estimated to be 3.43 billion yuan.

It is reported that the Shizong to Qiubei Expressway is an important part of the first vertical Weixin-Tianbao Expressway among the five vertical and five horizontal plans of the expressway network in Yunnan Province.
