On September 23, 2022, the No. 2 inclined shaft of the Yiliang Tunnel of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway entered the main tunnel of the tunnel, marking the official entry of the world's longest high-speed railway tunnel into the main construction stage.

Yiliang Tunnel is a control project of the entire Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway line. It is the longest high-speed railway tunnel in the world with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. .

During the tunnel construction process, the participating units innovatively adopted the complete set of tunnel construction technology, which further accelerated the excavation speed. Wen Xingming, executive deputy commander of the Zhaotong Headquarters of the Beijing-Kunming High-speed Railway Xikun Co., Ltd., introduced that the Yiliang Tunnel implemented full-scale mechanization on the site, adopted tunnel smooth blasting, and implemented risk control to ensure construction safety and construction quality.

The Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming Corridor, one of the main channels of China's eight vertical and eight horizontal high-speed railways. The line starts from Chongqing West Railway Station, passes through Chongqing City, Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Yunnan Province, and connects to Kunming South Railway Station.
