During the 20 day period from October 7th to 26th, 2024, the Daqin Railway, which enjoys the reputation of being the "leader of China's heavy-duty railways", carried out large-scale centralized maintenance and construction in autumn. From 9am to 12pm daily, the Daqin Railway will temporarily suspend operations and carry out power outages for a series of maintenance work, including replacement of tracks, sleepers, and ballast, update of turnouts, replacement of overhead contact systems, and repair of signal systems. This construction also focused on comprehensive maintenance and reinforcement of bridges and tunnels along the railway line.

The Daqin Railway starts from Datong, Shanxi in the west and ends at Qinhuangdao, Hebei in the east. It is China's first double track electrified heavy-duty coal transportation line, responsible for the transportation of coal for production and daily life in more than ten provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government. Centralized repair and construction will significantly improve the quality of line equipment, creating favorable conditions for enhancing transportation safety and promoting incremental transportation on the Daqin Line.
