On October 14, 2024, China Energy Engineering Consulting Group officially launched the first phase of a project called Shuangyashan Green Methanol and Green Aviation Oil Demonstration Base. The project aims to create a 100000 ton wind solar hydrogen fusion biomass green aviation oil demonstration project.

The main part of this demonstration base is located in Shuangyashan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Heilongjiang Province, with a planned annual production of 200000 tons of green methanol and 300000 tons of green aviation fuel. The first phase project launched this time aims to produce 100000 tons of green aviation oil annually, covering a comprehensive range of facilities from wind and solar power generation, biomass processing to hydrogen production and storage, biomass gasification and synthesis of aviation oil. It is expected that the project will be officially put into operation in 2027.

In terms of technology, the project adopts multiple globally leading technological solutions, including advanced green Fischer Tropsch synthetic aviation oil technology, full system collaborative coupling and control technology, multi energy storage friendly off grid technology, and high-efficiency coupling complete industrial technology of electricity hydrogen carbon. The application of these technologies not only improves the overall efficiency of the project, but also lays a solid foundation for its integrated development in fields such as energy, agriculture, chemical industry, and transportation.

In addition, the completion of this project will bring significant environmental benefits, with an expected annual carbon reduction of 250000 tons, which is of great significance for promoting green development and addressing climate change. Editor/Wang Xia
